At Road Ready Foundation, our mission is to save lives on our roadways through crash prevention by educating young and experienced drivers on tire safety and roadside safety education. We are committed to doing our part to prevent tragic car crashes, fatalities, and injuries due to unsafe tires and unsafe roadside behavior. Join us in our mission to save lives through awareness, education, and advocacy.
Our Story
On February 10, 2023, our family and community experienced an unimaginable loss after a tragic car crash. Jackson (our son, brother, and friend) was a passenger in the car and wearing a seatbelt. Although the driver was traveling under the speed limit given the inclement weather that day, the car hydroplaned and collided with an 18- wheeler. The police report indicated that the cause of the hydroplaning and overall crash was due to extremely worn tires with insufficient tread.
Now, more than ever, we are committed to educating ourselves and our community on the importance of tire safety and roadside safety. Through education and tire-specific programs and initiatives, our goal is for more drivers to make informed decisions about tire care and maintenance.

The Road Ready Foundation car is headed to Toledo Speedway this Saturday, May 16th, as Wesley Slimp, Road Ready Ambassador takes on one of the most historic short tracks in the ARCA Menards Series. Representing a mission bigger than racing, Wesley will pilot the No. 25 Road Ready Toyota in the Owens Corning 200, helping bring awareness to tire safety and saving lives every mile along the way.
Catch the race live Saturday at 7:00 PM ET on FS1 as the Road Ready car hits the track in Toledo, Ohio. Let's go chase a strong finish and continue honoring Jackson's legacy on and off the track

I look forward to joining transportation leaders, law enforcement, educators, and safety advocates to discuss dangerous decisions on our roadways and the critical need for stronger tire safety education and awareness to help save lives.
